Sump Pumps

Unlike effluent pumps or sump pumps, which move only water, sewage pumps can move wastewater with solids up to 2 inches in diameter. The pressure-increasing action happens when the impellers speed up the flow of water passing through the system. That speed is converted to pressure, which explains how booster pumps maximize water pressure.
